Actually, not at all. The “Crass tour” people keep referring to is lead singer Steve Ignorant reverently recreating their debut album The Feeding of the 5000 live.

I wish he wasn’t so respectful about it all. I wish he wore a wig and there was a big flag in the background with all the same films they used to project behind the stage. I never saw Crass play live and would love to go to a Beatlemania version but with Paul McCartney doing lead vocals. True Crass fans would be fucking outraged but it would be a great show. Weren’t they all about irreverence at the end of the day?

The show is called the Last Supper Tour and it’s Ignorant with various musical guests doing an ode to Crass with no intentions of recreating the past. I saw it in Britain and it was fucking intense. The whole thing ends forever in November this year back in London. There’s been some buzz about special guests at that one. Penny? Eve? Gee?

Here are the dates:

As another professor evaluating another, I don’t think Steve looks like someone who’d believe in all that peace and love crap.

You’d think PM, but he once got his leg broken (by a Falklands War veteran) before a tour in the late 90s-early 2000 by refusing to fight.
