Virtually from the moment he stepped foot in the race for the GOP Presidential nomination, the notion has been talked about, blogged about, written about, bitched about, and praised that Donald Trump hates Mexicans. With statements like, “They’re bringing drugs. They’re bringing crime, their rapists…” and “I will build a great, great wall on our southern border and I will have Mexico pay for that wall”, how could anyone else who dislikes Hispanic immigrants dislike the guy? For those who support the Constitution and the Fourteenth Amendment, it’s probably safe to say that most of them would rather #feelthebern.
But wait, there’s more! Mr. Trump is a contributing factor to the disdain towards Mexico. Since 2000, Mr. Trump’s companies have attempted to obtain visas for over 1,100 workers, never mind the fact that much of his clothing line is made in Mexico. One can’t help but wonder, does the Donald want to keep those dirty beaners in Mexico so he can pay them only slightly more than the Gong Feis in China? There’s also the highly publicized theory that Trump is a liberal plant to weaken the GOP.
It seems that Mr. Trump is a champion of Mexicans in disguise. Perhaps he should start a chapter of #MexicanLivesMatter and try leading that until he decides exactly what he stands for and what his actual intentions are. Don’t get me wrong, I love Mexicans. I love tacos, burritos, and George Lopez, but it seems that Mr. Trump is the one that is undecided on where his actual values are.
