He’s a great guy and his new film is fucking incredible. The film has a 4% rating on Rotten Tomatoes right now with an Audience Score of 80%. The rating is the lowest critics’ score in the history of the site and Dinesh is convinced the 4:80 ratio is the biggest gap in the history of the site (a more typical rating is Star Trek Beyond’s 83% / 85%).

This is because critics are members of the creative class and they love everything that isn’t Trump because they’re scared of Trump because he reminds them of their dad and their dad thinks of them as failures, which they are.

My column on Dinesh and his movies is HERE

  1. Ghetto Defendant says:

Anyone else remember years ago, when Dinesh D’Souza was a proponent of conservatism embracing and caucusing with Salafi/Wahhabi, Islamists , because of shared moral values and disgust with the state of modern culture?

  2. Muppets Take Manitoba says:

D’Souza played a minor lay-up role in one of the odder media synthetic scandals of September 2001. On Bill Maher’s ABC show Mr. D opined that describing the hijackers as “cowards” NY Post/TheBlaze-style was so blustery as to conceal the nature of the event, to wit, the semi-pro pilots thought of themselves as warriors. The show’s moderator agreed with this sentiment — N.B. at that time he was still a “hawk” right of proverbial Atilla on nat’l defense, often furnishing comical discord with his guest panels of Hollyweird homos & pinko presstitutes. Without missing a beat the usual cuck-con suspects, Weakly Stammerturd writers and what-if, proceeded to denounce the half-Hebrew host and call for boycott of Le Disney, thus shooting at their own side (not many “war liberals” in currency lately) whilst the pundit he had been seconding slinked off into darkness; some years later the latter reemerged as a supporting jokehorse on the poor sitcom “Rules of Engagement” which did not concern war or soldiering in any discernable way. D’Souza is now become the John Philip Sousa of ghetto-con pied pipering, quick with mouth movements on the royal flute. It’s a living

  3. Cell Block D'Suzie says:

It’s good to hear he’s now got into a hotwife arrangement– must be that swarthy snake-charming Oriental wiles & incense (via misspelling his colorful colleague Ram-esh became squire of a Honeybooboo-themed behemoth, a sad sight for reformicons and reformed eating-prize contestants alike). I’ve read tales to the effect of enshrining DD as proprietor of the poonaani of Laura Ingalls Ingraham back in college… Big Man On Campus!

  4. Duh says:

No Gavin, it’s not always your pet “Father-knows-best” theory that explains the critics reaction to a Right Wing film, but the obvious one in this case, which is simply they hate his political P.O.V. I find him a bit too condescending for winning over open minded undecideds, and find his personality unappealing. Anotherwords he’s not a palatable messenger who probably turns off a lot of people despite the truthfulness of his message. He’s also damaged goods with that conviction so is easy to discount.

Ha ha, you really are trying too hard bridge tender.

  5. I surely do, Ghetto D.! :-)

And I’m so old I remember when he was a Catholic. He switch to evangelical Protestantism, apparently for the adultery…

  6. Ghetto Defendant says:

@Kathy, yep!!! I remember well when he was trying to be the St. Augustine of Reagan era, theological thought, and then went the Henry VIII route, without the actually beheadings of his ex-wives!

  7. Chris Mallory says:

Dinesh D’SOUZA is a criminal immigrant and should have been deported, not left here so he could attack American heroes like Andrew Jackson. America would be a better place without him.

  8. I actually have one of his biographies of the saints around here somewhere. I don’t think they’re listed on his CV anymore.

We’ve got a guy up here in Canada named Michael Coren who D’Souza needs to meet :-)

  9. Ghetto Defendant says:

@Kathy, great article. Leave it to a follower of the Jesuits to methodically suss out and expose the theologically fraudulent! You can’t ever get weak intellectualism, and shoddy theological thought past the followers of Loyola.

  10. dick lubin says:

“”Election year or not, the VFW will not tolerate anyone berating a Gold Star family member for exercising his or her right of speech or expression,” said Brian Duffy, who was elected July 27 to lead the nation’s oldest and largest major war veterans organization.
“There are certain sacrosanct subjects that no amount of wordsmithing can repair once crossed,” added Duffy, the national commander of the near 1.7 million-member Veterans of Foreign Wars of the United States and its Auxiliary.”

LOL yeah everyone hates trump because of daddy issues gavin.

  11. frank says:

WTF is a “gold star family”. I never heard this term before yesterday. Sounds like something we mark people with before we oven them. Reeks of bureaucracy. You got some stupid people in these veterans organizations.

  12. OogaBooga says:

Your son was killed in a bullshit Neocon war America was lied into. Good family. Here’s a Gold Star.

  13. Shlomo Bagelbaum says:

    Dems r the real racists.

  14. CSL says:

    A Canadian who is anti-Veterans. How refreshing….

  15. Pete O'File says:

Kathy – remind me again which part of Francis Xavier’s writings deal with hating Filipina women and describing murder victims as “cuntish toothaches”.

  16. Joel Leggett says:

As a conservative I am definitely not a Democrat. That said, I would not recommend it to anyone, not because I don’t want to see the Democrat party attacked (I Do), but rather because the movie relies on outrageous historical half-truths to the point one must conclude they are intentional. For instance, his claim that Andrew Jackson changed the Democratic party into the criminal organization it is today due through his theft and sale of American Indian lands is simply false. Yes he did order the trail of tears but, as D’Souza noticeable fails to mention, Indian removal was federal policy long before Jackson became president, he just (wrongly) enforced it. Furthermore, speculation in lands traditionally owned or claimed by American Indians had been practiced by Americans in all regions of the country by Americans of all political leanings. To present this as some nefarious criminal conspiracy dreamed up by Jackson is ridiculous to the point of dishonest propaganda. Furthermore, all though D’Souza won’t admit it, there were several Republican members of the KKK at the height of it’s political power in the 1920’s in Northern states such as Indiana and Oregon. Consequently, the KKK was not simply a Southern, Democrat phenomena. Conservatives hurt our cause when they promote such dishonest propaganda as legitimate history.
