Krs One feels like my father. Fuck you, I’ve been listening to him since I was ten. The tones of his voice, his speech patterns, his laugh, his buggy eyes, his energy, his PHIL OS AH PHY; all of him just feels so familiar and familial.

Krs One feels like my father. Fuck you, I’ve been listening to him since I was ten. The tones of his voice, his speech patterns, his laugh, his buggy eyes, his energy, his PHIL OS AH PHY; all of him just feels so familiar and familial.

When you see him perform live, vouch for me, you get the feeling that he’s coming from a place of higher authority. What he does on stage is so effortless, so inspired; he’s not like anyone else I’ve ever seen.

By now you’ve all seen The Obama Deception – The new Loose Change for Obama’s American Era. When I see KRS One speak in this video I get the chills; that’s the man. It’s all there – the brilliance in his Burger King analogy – the rolling, lumbering, unstoppable momentum of his passion.

KRS first broke my heart in 2001 – though I escaped from Tower One with plenty of time to spare, in the months that followed I had an inexcusably low tolerance for people fucking with 9/11. A lot of my behavior was embarrassing, including my all-out support for Bush’s invasion of Iraq, which I know I need to own up to at some point. Regardless of my idiocy, KRS One was very outspoken about cheering 9/11, and I just wasn’t having it.

I wasn’t able to listen to his music for quite some time.

I’ve since returned to listening to him – probably something to do with the end of the world. I’ve looked past his intense devotion to Christianity – a trait that’s very difficult for me to overlook in ANY family member. I’ve looked past the negativity he allegedly pressed upon his son regarding the kid’s being a homosexual – and I’ve tried not to let myself speculate whether this could have been part of the kid’s decision to commit suicide. I’ve looked past all his 9-11 shit, and I’m gonna look past this new shit too.

But guys, come close cause it’s tough for me to say. Loose Change was bullshit, and The Obama Deception is too.

Presenting evidence is just too boring: Instead, the most compelling way to illustrate what’s really going on is with the following video. It’s called 9/11 Debate: Loose Change vs. Popular Mechanics. It shows the angry, melodramatic kids behind Loose Change going up against the calm, adult scientists of Popular Mechanics, who disprove each one of the Loose Changers’ amateur conspiracy theory claims. They do so in a determined and focussed fashion, and stay calm when the Loose Change kids get real angry real fast. The kids act arrogantly and obnoxiously- calling the grown-ups names, snickering rudely at their arguments, and generally acting like little spoiled brats.

This is what happens when conspiracy meets science.

And now here comes The Obama Deception – I appreciate that so many of you sent this to me, but listen – you have to know it’s just another chapter in conspiracy fiction. None of this stuff is real.

Look carefully past the superficial genius of KRS’ Burger King analogy: look deeper and you’ll see that it actually doesn’t make any sense. See, in real life there IS no franchise owner: There’s no single mastermind of any global conspiracy. There are just patterns that take place because of human behavior and the laws of economics and sociology – if you believe in evolution, think of it that way because it’s the same exact thing: Design without a designer.

Believing in an evil conspiracy mastermind is like believing in creationism.

I love KRS, and I want him to be right about everything he says, but he’s not. I don’t want to guess at why KRS believes this stuff, but then, I don’t want to guess at why he believes in an invisible monster called Jesus who hates people who were born homosexual.

Believing that there’s a mysterious group of smoking men creating this conspiracy is just an easy way of avoiding responsibility – and those are some of the things that KRS does nail. Fuck it, those are some of the things he taught me: the fact that we need to take responsibility. The black community needs to take responsibility for fathers leaving their kids and letting them end up in jail. The white community needs to take responsibility for rolling loaded dice with the stock market and destroying our economy. It’s our responsibility to change – and not by fantasizing about identifying and overthrowing some invisible evil mastermind.

This wasn’t done to us by some vengeful Big Brother; it was just done by us.

“Believing in an evil conspiracy mastermind is like believing in creationism.” one of the truly great lines man…nice 1.

one thing that always bothered my about 9/11 conspiracy is the alleged motive (oil, invading iraq, etc.) bore no clear relation to the events that constituted the alleged “conspiracy.”. ie., if they wanted to invade iraq, why weren’t the “fake” hijackers iraqis? why wouldn’t they just have 2 or 3 “iraqis” attempt to assassinate bush? so much more simple. If they were controlling the event, wouldn’t they make it fit within their defined advantage? Yet they were Saudis, which was the worst possible nationality for Bush/Cheney given the ties that existed. Why were they Saudis? Because they WERE Saudis! Occom’s Razor.

people believe in conspiracies for the same reason they believe in G**. because accepting the chaotic disorderly nature of things is just scary. people fear the real nature of existence.

It’s always easier to believe it’s “them” and not “us”. I think that this post ties in well with the relativity post BN put up the other day cause we like to look at the government as some evil type of otherworldly group of people who are far removed from who we are when really we would probably be the exact same people they are if we were put into their situation.

This conspiracy shit is for hippies who believe wholeheartedly in their unchanging inner goodness and the unchanging absolute evil of anyone in the world who has power.

i enjoy a good conspiracy theory just like i enjoy the grandiosity of certain church services. there’s nothing like hearing a good ghost story. trouble only arises when people take movies, songs, conspiracy theories or religions seriously. loose change was much more scary than the obama deception. maybe they could throw in an alien invasion angle to jazz it up a bit.

KRS-ONE is always saying stupid shit – remember the chorus “See how it sounds, a little unrational”? No one calls him on any of it because he tends to record good songs (although not for the last 16 years or so). He seems like he has really bad breath too.

  14. hagenshape says:

Robert Anton Wilson said there are three reasons for conspiracy theories: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yiMKJzTqYIk.
One, people don’t want to take responsibility for problems so they blame a conspiracy. Two, people are afraid of situations they can’t control and so blame a conspiracy. And three, there are a lot of conspiracies. Using an example like the two opposite arguments of the Popular Mechanics Vs. Loose Change video, totally crapping on one and putting the other on a pedestal, seems to be condemning what is a very important act of asking questions about events that are effecting all of us. I haven’t seen the Obama video, I’m not an independent scientist who’s done all my own research on 9/11, and no, I wasn’t there. But since when is asking important questions not cool? Preaching about shit you might not fully understand isn’t cool, but maybe both conspiracy nuts and people who only believe the official story could take a page out of that book.

  15. Erik McCoy says:

By the same token, writing off the possibility of conspiracy/govt. sham with a dismissive wave of the hand is equally irresponsible. I thought that Americans were first and foremost supposed to be suspicious of their government, that it’s a condition of our alleged freedom. Look at it this way, when you buy the govt. story, no questions asked, you simply buy the govt. conspiracy theory; a few bassackwards Muslims who got bad grades in flight school successfully CONSPIRED to hijack 4 planes and fuck shit up with pin-point accuracy on the same day that the US Air Force just happened to be asleep at the wheel, and oh yeah, some of the box-cutter wielding badasses who allegedly perished in the disaster are apparently alive and well and Bush’s silent brother Marvin just happened to be CEO of the company that did security for the WTC, etc. etc. The govt. story is every bit as wacked out as whatever Alex Jones or Kris tell us. It’s even as insane as all the outlandish promises that Obama made on the campaign trail. How is it any skin off your ass to rationally prove people wrong instead of relying on emotional appeals that sound A LOT like MY dad: “Why think when you have the govt. to do it for you? And if you do think, it’s because you’re a no count pussy.” Frankly, all I’ve concluded about 9/11 is that it sucked hard.

I disagree with this piece, but it’s good. You’ll probably get like 20 comments.

  16. charlie turner III says:

I hated 9/11 truthers for a long time because i thought they discredited themselves and any other ‘legitimate’ movement, like the antiwar movement, that they got close to.

And then I actually investigated the evidence presented, a pursuit that lasted YEARS. And I’ll never be the same again.

It’s a testament to the lack of critical thought being employed when you say the Popular mechanics debate disproves the 9/11 ‘inside job’ theory, because the argument you want to believe is delivered by guys who sound mature and authoritative. That places a higher premium on ‘truthiness’ than it does the truth.

  17. drippy dog dix and cum bubbles or something says:

For me it’s simple. Yes, I’m aware there will be some who find fallacy in my logic. However, I maintain this is a valid line of reasoning. If American Idol can’t even keep the lid on who the top 8 are (or whatever shit it is that TMZ is always discovering). If the LAPD can’t stop an insider from leaking a Rihanna beat-down photo. If everyday there’s another revelation, or breaking story based on the fact that someone couldn’t keep their mouth shut. How is it that there isn’t a single insider or participant in this grandiose conspiracy that has come forward to say, “Hey, look over here, I participated, and here is what I’ve got to say and show…”? Not a single demolition expert who’s conscience got the best of them, coming forward in one fashion or another, etc. People talk, they can’t help it.

Sorry Charlie, there was no conspiracy.

  18. just a cunt hair away says:

@Erik McCoy: all that just to get to, “Frankly, all I’ve concluded about 9/11 is that it sucked hard.”? good point, but fuck man…

Welll, @drippy dog (i really wish we had picked real handles): you’re conflating insignificant revelations dug up by the paparazzi with an act of state, a military/intelligence black op. The Manhattan Project involved tens of thousands of people and years of work and it was kept airtight. It’s called compartmentalization. You take this envelope to this guy, you fly to this location and put a bullet in this guys back and you only know your tiny mission, not the big picture. Or you lie to people, and the lie changes the higher up the chain you go.

  24. Drippy Dog Dix and Cum Bubbles or something says:

Sir Charlie, I understand compartmentalization. However, these are events that took place outside of high security, military controlled compounds. I don’t think yours is a fair comparison. Perhaps I’ve oversimplified with mine, but the reasoning stands. Furthermore, the Manhattan Project took place during a much different time, no internet, no Google Earth, etc… It was also a project designed to keep America safe, and to defeat our enemies, compelling enough reasons for most to keep a lid on it. I don’t have time to sift through the site you referenced, but how about posting some more direct links. Are you telling me there is reliable testimony from people who say they participated, and were part of this “black op”? Or is the site a list of people, qualified or not, raising questions and voicing suspicions?

Regarding Loose Change: I’m not believing anyone who says something like, “Alls were saying is…”. Blognigger has a point about their snickering, and other embarrassing behavior. It reveals their deep-seated insecurity with the position they have taken.

Yeah there are black fathers that send children out into the world like so many dandelion spores, but it’s hardly the “black community’s” responsibility to own up to the consequences. That’s the same tired old claptrap that minister-pimps trot out publicly whenever black illegitimacy is in the spotlight. It’s almost as though they’re secretly hoping that ostentatious clarion calls for responsibility will somehow be a feasible substitute for actual responsibility, because, in truth, none of them have even the fucking faintest idea what should be done about the problem – if anything at all.

Same goes for whatever “white community” is allegedly responsible for the deep hiccups currently echoing from within the bowels of the global economy. I rent the roof over my head as I have throughout my whole adult life, and am not about to even consider taking the heat for contracts that some clueless home-no-longer-owners signed without reading or the slimy board room bandits that took those bogus contracts and turned them into “financial products” with the wave of a wand. If these people belong to some white community association that was supposed to send a welcome wagon to my door at some point in my life, then I must have slept through them honking the horn outside.

  34. Hey guys! Lets have a comment fight!

  35. charlie turner III says:

@Dog Dick: That is an embarrassing debate that makes those Loose change guys look like, well, college kids. The only people I can think of offhand who have come forward are not people saying ‘I cooked the bombs, I pushed the button’ but there are people like Richard Andrew Grove and Indira Sing who are unwittingly part of the financial crimes that preceded the event, tried the blow the whistle beforehand, were supposed to die in the Twin Towers, but lived and went public.

Here’s an interview with Indira Singh: kpfa.org/archive/id/16057 and how her company, pTech, was related to, and involved in, 9/11.

Here’s an interview with Richard Andrew Grove youtube.com/watch?v=wpl503nxeac about how AIG and Marsh + McLennan were involved.

This is an angle that a lot of people don’t look at: how the private sector, how Wall Street was involved. From this angle 9/11 looks like something different altogether — the biggest paper shredding in history. The biggest hostile takeover in history. For example, Marsh was hosting a conference on a service called risk management with all the heads of that industry in one place at one time: Windows on the World at the WTC. When all the heads of this emerging industry were wiped out in a day, Marsh Crisis Consulting became the industry leader overnight, offering up what amounts to a protection racket to corporations around the world. Their CEO was L. Paul Bremer, the future viceroy of Iraq. And that’s just one avenue of this massive meta-conspiracy.

If I can think of any more direct links I’ll post them but there’s the 250+ ‘Smoking Guns’ on this page: killtown.911review.org/911smokingguns.html and beyond that, there was a group called ‘Demolition experts question 9/11’ or something like that but it’s merged into Architects and Engineers for 9/11 truth which can be found here: ae911truth.org/

  36. lol@u says:

First of all, I love KRS, have since Criminal Minded dropped. I saw him play live free shows a couple times at Thompson Sq. Park (you know when it was a homeless camp). He is a great artist, no doubt, but anybody who is strongly Christian is not totally rational (unrational even!) Especially when that Christian is black, or any other non-white. Mainly because their people were enslaved and forced to become Christian and now their super Christian? Your great great grandaddy was forced to sing hymns with a whip on his back and now you’re King Christian? That just doesn’t add up.

As far as conspiracy theories go, the main problem with the label is its been devalued. Any sort of “conspiracy theory” is dismissed outright just on name alone. You fucking know there are plenty of conspiracies going around though. Maybe 9/11 was one and maybe it wasn’t, but there are plenty and therefore some of those so-called “theories” have to be true.

  37. just a cunt hair away says:

if 9/11 was a conspiracy, what was the point? and if you say “oil” or “shredding financial transparency” i can tell you 10 different scenarios that would have been easier to pull off than having four hijacked planes crash into American landmarks. So why did they go the hardest route? shit, virtually anything is easier.

    So answer those questions cogently.

I can’t tell enough people to watch the BBC documentary titled “Century of Self.” It’s on youtube and it’s all about how media, propaganda, marketing, advertising, etc. are used to brainwash the common sense out of you. It’s all true, and guess what? They started doing it right around the time the Federal Reserve came into existence and the Great Depression occurred, and the world wars…I wrote a fucking book about it when I was a young shitty writer and long before anyone at the BBC knew anything about it. It’s all true. I spent months poring over the evidence. Blognigger is a classic washed-brain case. He says everything that they want him to say. You need to learn the classic difference between shit and shinola, for real. This doc is a good start.

    Shitty article, reasons why:

    1) “The laws of ….sociology” I hope you’re fucking kidding
    2) You cite evolution as good, but intolerance of gays as bad, which is strange, since evolution is the strongest argument in support of viewing homosexuality as a personal choice. Think about it, if homosexuality is genetic, and the evolutionary process weeds out genetic traits that do not promote the survival of the species, then??? What, is it some mutation that just hasn’t fallen off the human family tree yet? And please don’t refute this with evidence of monkeys fucking each other, you halfwits.

  46. lol@u says:

homosexuality makes sense in terms of evolution and it exists in many species, here’s a freakin list and its long: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_animals_displaying_homosexual_behavior

In terms of it making sense to promote the survival of the species, think of this: You have an area that’s overpopulated, food is becoming scarce, the species is multiplying in a faster rate then can be sustained by the existing food supply. The species will eat the food supply faster than it can be restocked, that is, the crop or food animal is non-sustainable. It would then make sense that in this situation, a population with a large minority of homosexuals would survive longer than a population that is completely heterosexual.

  47. lol@u says:

On a side note, I’m convinced that the Catholic Church is so vehemently against birth control because they decided long ago that if their followers had more kids, then in the future they would have more followers. And that’s the only reason they are against condoms.

  48. Halfclit Nitwit Dumb $hit says:

    @lol@u

    Uhhh, NO SHIT.

  49. Halfclit Nitwit Dumb $hit says:

“…There’s no single mastermind of any global conspiracy. There are just patterns that take place because of human behavior and the laws of economics and sociology…”

this argument does nothing to disprove the possibility of a governmental conspiracy. if there is no sing;e author of one sweeping global conspiracy, it doesn’t mean there can’t be local conspiracieswith various pushers behind them. what the fuck do you think politicans are? without solid evidence and without a thoughtful analysis, debating whether 9/11 was a set-up is just wanking.

  52. Truther says:

OK well charlie turner III was just a randomly generated handle so I’ll just use ‘truther’ for lack of anything better I can think of.

And when you ask ‘what’s the point?’ well then you’re asking me to go into the realm of conspiracy theory. Because when you’re trying to solve a crime, it’s a ‘whodunnit,’ not a ‘howdunnit’ or a ‘whydunnit.’ So I just want to acknowledge that I’m not qualified to say why — I’m just some guy commenting on a blog about boners. But if you’re asking, I can float some theories:

One theory is that the financial collapse we’re experiencing now was imminent in 2001 and this event militarized the economy to keep it afloat. Another theory is that enough policymakers believe that war drives history and progress that if the US has no formidable opponents one will be created. One theory is that the power structure that has existed since the Industrial Age is no longer relevant, yet the ultra, ultra wealthy are trying to protect their class interests in a mad dash to buy up the country and the world. Another is that the world is overpopulated and running out or resources, in this century global war is an inevitibility, and maybe we should get the jump on the rest of the world now. Another theory is that enough policymakers believ in American empire (erm I’m sorry, ‘American enterprise’) that they believe this would give the US an opportunity to take over the world. Another theory is this assists globalization and global governance by the banks and the corporations, and the financial crimes before and after 9/11 are designed to vertically integrate the economy and consilidate power into the hands of fewer and fewer people who will emerge at the top of a new global power structure. Another theory is that this was to bring fascism to the United States, because there is a philosophy amongst the financial elite that the market is the only perfect system, that a society run by corporations is the ideal system. Or is could be a number of these theories together.

Global policy is crafted from the think tanks now, and it’s up to Washington and other governments to sell those policies. This shift to private organizations crafting public policy has been for decades. These are organizations like the American Enterprise Institute, Project for a New American Centrury, The Trilateral Commission, the Council on Foreign Relations, The Rand Corporation and so on. They’re not beholden to the people, and they can come up with the most monstrous policies imaginable without having to tell the public or run the risk of being thrown out of office. This frees the people in these organizations to come up with strategies that employ the most cynical, the most brutish forms of realpolitik you can imagine. Within these ranks are a number of people who believe that only crisis can precipitate change and that there needed to be a shock to the system so that they could transform society into something they wanted. The demand comes from the Soroses and Rockefellers of the world, and their handlers like Zbignew Brzezinski, Henry Kissinger, George Shultz, James Baker, Brent Scowcroft and others help craft the policy, which is then excecuted by the Cheneys and Rumsfelds and on down the line.

I don’t know if that answered you question but that’s the best I can do. The point of the 9/11 conspiracy was to attempt to radically transform society in a short amount of time.

Ok, so those are the goals. I don’t think a “conspiracy” involving over 1000 individual people happening in broad daylight needed to be hatched to make that happen. they could have had 3 or 4 agents leave suitcase bombs on trains in San Fran and NY and DC simultaneously.

i am not saying that i don’t thin Cheney et. al., wouldn’t be willing to hatch such a plot. i am just saying 9/11, as a government conspiracy, doesn’t even make sense. its too…roundabout and indirect.

“The 9/11 Truth movement is really distinguished by a kind of defiant unfamiliarity with the actual character of America’s ruling class. In 9/11 lore the people who staff the White House, the security agencies, the Pentagon and groups like PNAC and the Council of Foreign Relations are imagined to be a monolithic, united class of dastardly, swashbuckling risk-takers with permanent hard-ons for Bourne Supremacy-style “false flag” and “black bag” operations, instead of the mundanely greedy, risk-averse, backstabbing, lawn-tending, half-clever suburban golfers they are in real life.”

“At its heart, 9/11 Truth is a conceit, a narcissistic pipe dream for a dingbat, sheeplike population that is pleased to imagine itself dangerous and ungovernable. Rather than admit to their own powerlessness and irrelevance, or admit that they’ve spent the last fifty years or so electing leaders who openly handed their tax money to business cronies and golfed in Scotland while middle America’s jobs were being sent overseas, the adherents to 9/11 Truth instead flatter themselves with fantasies about a ruling class obsessed with keeping the terrible truth from the watchful, exacting eye of The People.”

  60. Truther says:

That’s true about the suitcase bombs, only then you wouldn’t have the spectacle that you had. Also it was meant to threaten or kill certain people — in this case, everyone privvy to the details of all the financial crimes committed in the leadup to 9/11 at the WTC, and all the Pentagon accountants and auditors privvy to the theft there at the Pentagon, and you wouldn’t be able to get those kills in with just a suitcase bomb.

Remember, on 9/10 2001, Rumsfeld gave a press conference where he said that the Pentagon was unable to account for 2.3 trillion dollars in transactions. The next day something plows into a wing of the Pentagon thats under renovation, and the only people still inhabiting that wing are auditors and accountants.

the most important part of that movie, was the federal reserve. Most people have no idea what this fucking thing is, and they should really look into it.

I dont believe 9/11 bullshit, but i also dont buy into just taking everything at face value like BN keeps trying to tell us to do with his constant championing of obama. when it comes to fundamentals, this guy wont change a fucking thing, hes still towing the same line of the supposed “two party system”. Time will tell, and you will feel like a moron for believing such an arbitrary position will somehow cleanse washington of all its corruption-even though this jackass appoints half of wallstreet to his administration. get a grip BN, i know you want to believe in this guy but he is full of shit. Pakistan is about to crumble and when that happens we should all be very afraid.

Maybe they did 50 years ago, but there’s this really specific place where black folks put the Be, and it relates to something that you do every day, or something you’re going through. And then when white people like ‘banazir bhutto’ throw it in it’s just all over the place.

Actually, liberal academic linguists claim that the Africans’ improper us of the copula stems not from inferior brains (what a laugh), but instead from the proper grammar of their native, pre-slavery tongues. In other words, the copula is not conjugated in many western African languages, and the little buggers, to this very day, are still trying to evolve into competent copular conjugators.

  95. Bob Denver says:

But why would Vane$$a be jealous of Blogwigger? She’s acquired more dollars writing BOOKS than he’s acquired comments in all his years of being a blogger. What I’m talking about are proper props of sustenance and greed, proving that one is a full American human being, one that can not only write, but who can also con folks into liberating themselves of real money in exchange for that writing. Vane$$a’s a charming psychopath, a truly great American patriot. She was doing it long before Mr. Obama arose from the hard scrabble Hawaiian streets and taught us that America is a land of Special Olympix thinkers, dying to please their masters by handing them their cashola. She was doing it back when that motherfucker was driving a Dodge Neon, yo.

Sure, beneath my kind, loving, intelligent facade lies nothing more than another smarmy, greedy, DUMBASS little shit motivated by pure avarice, but hey, as long as you dupes are buying it, I’m selling it. For a prime example, let’s take a look at this fine piece of youngish man meat who calls himself the “blogn*gger.” Can you believe that he’d rather believe me before ever believing the saliva laced tirades of KRS-One? Chump ass muthafucka with the blinders on! Uh-heheheheh…Clearly, KRS is 2 black for anyone 2 believe. Taibbi works for Rolling Stone. Rolling Stone is owned by Jann Wenner. Jann Wenner also owns US Magazine and Men’s Journal. I don’t trust people who will do anything for money.

  112. Jim Goad says:

A long time ago in my Wee Wiggery Dayz, I interviewed many of the most absolutely funky-fresh rappers of the late 1980s…LL Cool J, Big Daddy Kane, Ice Cube, Melle Mel, Public Enemy (three times!), Kool Moe Dee, Ice-T, David Duke, Al Sharpton…at times, it seems as if I interviewed them all.

And every one of them, without fail, was late. Or they forced me to reschedule the interview, and then they were late again. I don’t know if this was their way of “dissing” me or “sticking it to the man,” but I knew that if I was going to interview a rapper, I’d have to reset my wristwatch to CP Time.

KRS-One was the only one who APOLOGIZED for being late, though. I’ll always be thankful for that.

obama’s fatal flaw became apparent to all during his campaign. namely, his habit of surrounding himself with questionable men because he has unresolved daddy issues. he would not distance himself from the reverend wright until it was almost too late because his immature ego state allowed him to believe that this man was what he desperately needed him to be. the same is true for his relationship with rick warren. both associations cost him dearly. his personality remains unchanged and this latest wtf moment should come as no surprise, his choice and unwavering support of geithner and summers and his blatant refusal to believe they are not acting in the public’s best interest. why anybody is surprised that he, yet again, has surrounded himself with questionable characters and retains an unfathomable blind spot in the face of what has transpired under their direction is ridiculous. his only deception is his self-deception. that facet of his personality will be his undoing.

i feel the same way about KRS-ONE, loved the guy but he’s crazy as cat shit.

but saying theres no such thing as a greedy group of rich assholes getting together and pulling the strings behind things is SO naiive its like putting your head in the sand.

Its like saying “there’s no such thing as the Boogey Man, therefore serial killers do not exist either”

Its like saying “I dont believe in monsters, therefore it is impossible that a scary hairy psychopath is hiding under my bed at night waiting so he can chop me up into little pieces and EAT me”…

The fact is that there ARE scary hairy psychopaths who hide under innocent peoples beds at night so they can chop them up and eat them. They may not have special powers or knives for fingers or be brought back to life by a satanic incantation read from a book bound in human flesh… but they ARE there, THE REAL THING, and they will keep your head in the fridge for weeks untill the neighbours complain about the smell.

    Its the same with conspiracies.

So while I dont believe a special group of someones used radio controlled army planes to blow up the twin towers….. i DO know what human beings are LIKE, what we are CAPABLE OF, what our history is, and throughout history, conspiracy is the RULE, not the exception.

I know it sounds fcked up and cartooney and scooby-doo-ish, but i’ll say it again (in caps)

when it comes to human beings, CONSPIRACY IS THE RULE, NOT THE EXCEPTION.

and dont even get me started on time travelling space alien reptilians who live in flying pyrimids…

  119. Truther says:

Well I’m pretty pleased with how this thread turned out. Well said, beej.

KRS-One is nuts though, I think. I read an interview with him once where he said that he called Nas and asked him to come with him to Houston because he was meeting with NASA officials to discuss how Hip Hop will affect mankind’s role as we begin to populate neighboring planets. He said that Nas just hung up on him, and KRS thought this was because what he was saying was so overwhelmingly mind blowing that Nas couldn’t handle it.

  120. Disinformation says:

    Ty-

Can you imagine the ingrained set of biases that a Bard College educated elitist like Taibbi carries into investigating fundamentalist Christians and 9/11 truthers? His entrenched arrogance allows him to assume that he can understand and pick apart the brains and motives of “rednecks,” but reality tells us that he’s just a snob who has no clue what the fuck he’s talking about.

  121. ty says:

    Disinformation:

We all have our filters and biases (UC Santa Cruz here). But Matt plays a role. Remember, for instance, when most of the MSM was so very pro-Bush for 6.5 of his 8 years in office? It was refreshing, at least, for me to know somebody somewhere was trying to regress the construct (“Truth:” whateverthefuckthatis) to a manageable mean.

I don’t believe all of Taibbi’s addled rhetoric either but there’s something informative to his brand of embedding, like it or not. I wouldn’t fully discount it nor would I fully accept it. He’s a smart dude. Biased like all of us.

    Just my pocket change.

  122. Disinformation says:

    Ty-

I suppose we could say that most thoughts provoke us to think. In that way, Taibbi is worth something, and yes, we all have our own biases, but his strike me as rather shopworn and disinformative. Thinking about why Taibbi is not special somehow makes me even smarter. Of course, my own biases probably cloud my interpretation of Wenner and his people. One thing has occurred to me regarding libs who are also anti-truthers. If they actually believe that Al-Qaeda pulled the 9/11 job, why don’t they give Bush A LOT of credit for stopping more attacks from happening within our borders? I’m no Bush fan, but if I actually believed the government’s version of 9/11 things, I think that I’d be owing GW a significant back-log of major anti-terrorism props right about now. If anything happens on Obama’s watch, I’m also wondering if a “truth” movement will arise. I’ve noticed that in our culture it’s much easier for the average people to believe that a WASP is capable of unconscionable evil than it is to believe, or say, that a minority is capable of similar deeds. I really believe that there is a hidden element of white self-hatred and racism in the truth movement. Crazy. My mind’s all boggled up over here. I guess they’ve got me right where they want me, stuck in a motherfucking web of contradiction with absolutely no concrete answers. It kinda hurts.

I didn’t want to believe it either but in my attempt to disprove the film I found more evidence supporting its claims… and guess what…I didn’t find any of it to be “bull shit”. People need to WAKE UP and take our country back…our four fathers must be turning in their graves.

Killtown hangs around with “ozzybinoswald” whose real name is Neil Edward Thomson, a kiddie porno collector who resides in Canada. You would be wise to take Killtown’s crap off your site unless you like associating yourself with pedophiles and internet stalkers.
