They’re called NEDS in Glasgow and the etymology is “Non-Educated Delinquent.”

    Your Scottish accent in spot on but sounds pretty middle class. Neds, especially Glasgow ones, sound way different. Check out this sketch.

    That high pitched NED accent came about in the late 80s and early 90s. If you watch the trailer for NEDS you can see that in the 80s they were all just Scottish kids.
